Triad is the name given to german duo Henree and Basstikal. Both established producers in their own right, their meeting of minds has given their productions new depth and a totally original approach to drum & bass. Releases on DSM, Critical and Horizons, plus their excellent remix of Omar’s ‘Lay It Down’, have laid the foundations for what is to be a fruitful 2011 for this collaborative project.
‘Crooked’ is a shuffling minimal work-out which uses dense atmospheres and growling bass stabs to create a haunting mood, before breaking into it’s techno fuelled, energy soaked finale.
‘The Puzzle’ again captures Triad’s unique ability to create musical soundscapes. With light snappy beats and deep stirring synths creating a track that sounds as fresh today as it will in 10 years time, future music.
